Study group
Do you need peer support when studying? Are you in need of a rubber duck to talk to or do you study more efficiently with other people? You can come ask for advice, study together, or just enjoy the learning atmosphere. Our encouraging instructors will be present throughout the study group sessions, and you can ask them (or other study group attendees) for help with exercises or topics you're having trouble with. Please remember that our voluntary study group instructors do not replace course teaching assistants, so in more challenging cases, don't forget to use course resources.

Forest trip
Luuppi's traditional forest trip is coming again! This spring we will travel to Seitseminen National Park to the Pitkäjärvi rental cabin. Departure from the Atalpa parking lot on Saturday 17.5. at about 12pm and return on Sunday 18.5. at about 12pm. Please arrive on time. When we arrive, we take a walk in the beautiful nature of Seitseminen and spend the evening in the sauna, playing board games or just hanging out. Luuppi sponsors the evening sausages. There is no electricity or running water in the hut, but water is available from the well. The cottage is wood-heated and you sleep in bunk beds. Bunk beds come with a mattress, pillow and duvet, but you will need a duvet set or pillowcase + sleeping bag. There is a wood stove and gas stove in the living room, and a sauna. There is no fridge in the cabin, but there is a cold pit outside. It might be smart to reserve food that can survive without refrigeration (Luuppi still brings sausages). Each hiker is responsible for their own food, so please bring your own. Remember, the purpose of the trip is not to drink alcohol, but you can bring your own sauna beer. If you want to get drunk, this trip is not for you. What to bring? - Camping equipment (sleeping bag + pillowcase or sheets, sleeping outside is also allowed) - Power bank or similar if you don't think you can survive 24 hours without electricity. - Food - Any medicines - Weatherproof and off-road clothing & shoes - A torch in case we happen to be moving in the dark, plus there are no electric lights in the cabin. - Sauna and swimming equipment - Board games - Something fun to enjoy on a camping trip? More information about the https://www.eraluvat.fi/kohteet/pitkajarvi-1109 Assuming we can get enough drivers, it is possible for up to 12 people to take part in the event in addition to the drivers. As a driver you promise to drive from Atalpa’s parking spot to Pitkäjärvi capin and back. Compensation for a driver is 0,2 €/km and the event is free. Our goal is to put a driver and 3 passangers to one car if you have a car and want to be a driver but you think that you can only fit 2 passangers be in contat to event organizer. The event will follow Luuppi's Equality and Safer Space principles, which can be found https://luuppi.fi/en/organization/documents in Finnish.
