Christmas Party 2026

Luuppi's biggest and most anticipated event of the year is back! Luuppi's Christmas Party will take place at Nokian Kerhola on Saturday, December 12, 2026, followed by the traditional sillis at Pii-Klubi on Sunday, December 13, 2026. The Christmas Party is a festive, Christmas-themed dinner party with a more relaxed atmosphere than an annual ball.

Ticket sales for Luuppi members begin on Monday, November 9, at 12:00 and end on November 23. The ticket costs €39 and includes bus transportation from Tampere city centre to the venue and back, food and drinks, an overall patch, and an afterparty featuring a live performer (cloakroom fee not included). Guests are also welcome to bring their own drinks to Nokian Kerhola. Tickets for the following day's sillis (herring breakfast) must be purchased separately here.

Buses will depart from in front of Tampere Hall (Tampere-talo) to Nokian Kerhola at the following times: 15:20, 15:30, 15:45, 16:20, and 16:30. To ensure that transportation to the Christmas Party runs as smoothly as possible and passengers are distributed more evenly across departures, participants will select their preferred bus departure in advance this year. All buses will depart from in front of Tampere Hall and head to Nokian Kerhola. After registering for the Christmas Party, you can select your preferred bus departure here.

The dinner party begins at 17:00, and mulled wine (glögi) will be served in the venue's lobby beforehand.

After the main event at Nokian Kerhola, we will head to the afterparty in Tampere city centre. Return buses will depart in two rounds, at 21:15 and 22:15. The live performance at the afterparty venue will begin at 23:00.

The dress code is dark suit with academic decorations. However, the dress code is not a strict requirement for participation, so there is no need to stress too much about it.

Accessibility: Nokian Kerhola is accessible. The main entrance has a ramp, and the door can be opened using an elbow-operated push button. The dinner party takes place in the main hall on the ground floor. The main hall is equipped with a hearing induction loop. Some areas have high thresholds, but a portable ramp is available upon request. There are two designated accessible parking spaces near the main entrance. An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor.

Atmosphere: Alcohol consumption is permitted at the event. Over 200 people will attend the celebration. The main hall has dim lighting, and conversations can be heard throughout the space. Background music plays in the lobby. The programme includes speeches, group singing and other performances that use microphones. Guests are free to move between the main hall and the lobby. We kindly ask participants to use fragrances sparingly. Special dietary requirements and food allergies will be accommodated. Please indicate any dietary requirements or allergies when registering for the event.
