Christmast party sillis 2026

Feeling down now that the Christmas Party is over? Don't worry, the celebrations aren't over just yet – join us for the traditional sillis brunch on December 13 at Pii-Klubi!

Silliaamiainen, or sillis for short, is a traditional Finnish student event held the day after an annual ball. At Luuppi, sillis is also part of our Christmas Party celebrations, as the Christmas Party doubles as our anniversary celebration in the years between our official anniversary balls, which are held every five years.

The idea of sillis is to get together the day after the main celebration to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and good company. Formal attire is swapped for student overalls, and the day is spent enjoying food, drinks, and each other's company at a leisurely pace. Sillis is all about relaxing, having fun, and keeping the festive spirit alive!

The Christmas Party and sillis go hand in hand, and of course, you can't miss either one – after all, sillis is known for being the grand finale of the weekend! There will be food, drinks, plenty of entertainment, and, of course, a hot sauna to enjoy. More details about the food, drinks, and programme will be added to this page during October and November, but some surprises will only be revealed at the event itself!
