The general assembly is approaching fast, so here are some guidelines for attending. The meeting is held in Finnish as it is our official language.
Registration for the meeting on:
Registration for the general assembly will start at 16:30, so in order for the assembly to start on time, please arrive early. At the general assembly registration, the membership of the participants will be checked. When checking membership, the use of the new website is preferred. If you have not yet become a user of the new website, you can do so by creating a new account on the new website and linking your old account (old website account) to the new account. However, membership can also be checked via the old website.
To facilitate the start of the meeting and registration for the meeting, participants are encouraged to pre-register through the general assembly pre-registration event. This pre-registration is not a substitute for registration at the general assembly, but is intended to expedite this on-site process.
Pre-registration is not compulsory, but highly recommended in order to ensure a smooth registration process. You can arrive even if you have not pre-registered. Registration will be checked before the start of the meeting.
Meeting documents and evening session:
The board's proposals for documents can be found here, meeting documents are in Finnish. At the evening session of the general assembly, the board's proposals will be presented in a joint review of the documents, and the board will also be present to answer questions. Amendments to the documents may be proposed. The evening session of the general assembly will take place on 25th of November at 17:00. At the city center campus, Pinni B1097. Snacks will be served at the evening session.
Amendments:
Amendments to the documents presented by the board at the general assembly may be proposed at the meeting. To make an amendment, you need a motion and a second. Amendments can be submitted before the annual meeting at the evening session and via the form here. However, a motion submitted on the form must still be presented at the meeting.
Voting:
In personal elections, voting takes place via OpaVote. The voting link will be sent to the email address you have provided on the luuppi website. In non-personal elections, voting will be done by hand ballot. To be able to vote, you need to have active Luuppi membership (free membership for exchange students doesnt grant voting right.)
