What on earth is a Tähtiluuppilainen?
Tähtiluuppilainen is a feature series in LuuppiSanomat ("The Luuppi News"), where we get to know a member of Luuppi who is honored with the title of Tähtiluuppilainen ("Star Luuppian"). The series has been published since at least 2010.
The Tähtiluuppilainen introduces themselves by answering a set of questions and has the privilege of choosing the next interviewee, who will become the next Tähtiluuppilainen. The last two questions are selected by the previous Tähtiluuppilainen, as each Tähtiluuppilainen creates two new questions. With each round, the first two questions are removed, so the questions keep evolving.
This time we interviewed Aki Nuutinen who was challenged by previous Tähtiluuppilainen, Santeri Virtanen.
Who are you?
I'm Aki, a third year comp-sci student.
What is your passion?
All kinds of experiences. I like to hang out and talk with friends, meet new people, go to concerts and try everything that sounds fun.
What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve done during your time at Luuppi?
During my studies I've done a lot of embarassing things I've apologized for afterwards. At ATK-YTP Kuopio I pulled the tassel of a stranger's beanie when I thought it was someone I know and wanted to disappear into thin air.
What is your favorite treat?
Definitely Pepsi Max. 0 kcal and it tastes good so I don't consume a lot of other delicacies.
Where would you like to travel next and why?
As a stereotypical IT-sector answer, Japan. The country interests me a ton from historical and culinary perspectives.
If you could learn anything in a day, what would it be?
Probably some programming language of which the senior employees are starting to retire, I could have a better salary with the same amount of work I'm doing right now.
How much is your bench?
I think it was a bit over hundred euros from the Deutsch Amazon, ergonomic adjustable office chairs cost way too much in Finland.
What is the best place in Hervanta?
Duo's Zarillo or the campus, I've probably been to the first one more often.
What have been the best parties you've been to?
Karaoke night 2023, where I met my partner.
Who would you like to challenge to be the next Tähtiluuppilainen and why?
I want to challenge Thomas Mikkonen as the next star Luuppian. Thomas is a very positive person and passionate about his interests, which is why I like to see him in all kinds of activities and events 👍🏻
