IntegraatioFest Oulu

PLEASE NOTE! This year, there will be no shared transportation to the event. Participants are therefore responsible for arranging their own travel from Tampere to Oulu and back.

IntegraatioFest is back! Sigma-kilta ry is organising the 2026 IntegraatioFest in Oulu on 23–25 October in cooperation with Suomen fysiikan- ja matematiikanopiskelijat ry (SFMO ry).

The weekend will feature two days of lectures, fun activities and partying, as well as a chance to get to know Oulu and fellow mathematics and physics students from all around Finland! The event will also determine Finland’s ultimate drink’n’derivers in the classic Drink and Derive competition!

With Luuppi’s sponsorship, an IntegraatioFest ticket costs €5 this year. You can also choose to purchase a sitsit ticket for the first day for €10, as well as accommodation for the entire event for €5. Luuppi’s quota includes 24 spots, but we will collect the details of everyone interested, as additional spots will likely become available from other student organisations. Registration closes on Monday 28 September at 00:00, so make sure to act quickly once registration opens! Registration for the event will take place through this page. Once ticket sales begin, we will add a link here to a Forms form, which we will use to collect the details of those who end up on the waiting list.

The Fest strats with an info at 12.45 pm in L4 lecture hall on the Linnanmaa campus. We recommend travelling to Oulu by shared transport or by train. It’s also worth downloading the OSL app to purchase a 24-hour ticket and check timetables. For those staying in accommodation, it is possible and recommended to arrive in good time, as a space has been reserved on campus where you can leave your belongings from 12:00 onwards. Your belongings will be moved to accommodation before it opens. The Fest end on Sunday at 15:00 once the herring breakfast has finished.

Accommodation

The accommodation is at Tuira School, located at Matti Hällin kuja 3. You can enter at 15:00 on Friday and must leave by 10:00 on Sunday. There are bus stops near the accommodation, providing access to both the university and the city centre.

Sitsit

The Integration Fest sitz will take place on Friday at 6.00 pm. To ensure that everyone who wishes to attend can do so, three simultaneous sitz will be held in Oulu city centre. The price of the sitz includes a starter, main course and dessert, at least one round of drinks, and three drinks (alcohol or non-alcoholic). Information about the sitz will be sent closer to the time of the fest. At the same time, we will ask for your seating preferences and any special dietary requirements

PLANCKS, or “The Physics League Across Numerous Countries for Kick-ass Students,” is an annual international competition for undergraduate and graduate students in physics. The competition qualifiers will be held during the Integration Fest on Friday from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the University of Oulu’s Linnanmaa Campus.

IMC, or “International Mathematics Competition for University Students,” is an annual mathematics competition for university students majoring in mathematics. The competition’s qualifying round will be held during the Integration Fest on Saturday from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the University of Oulu’s Linnanmaa Campus. Note: separate qualifying rounds will be held for students from the University of Helsinki and Aalto University. A separate information message will be sent regarding this.

Registration for the qualifying rounds of both competitions is handled by the SFMO Board. More information on this will come later.
