What the f*ck are council elections?? How can power be used within TREY? What is the Student Council?
If these questions have crossed your mind or if you want to learn more about participating in the Student Council, come to the ”The f*ck are council elections?" event organized by Luuppi_Puolue on August 27th at 17:00 at Pii-klubi.
The event's purpose is to introduce the activities of TREY’s (Tampere University Student Union) Student Council and to encourage students to run in the upcoming council elections. The event is aimed at everyone. Experienced representatives will explain why the Student Council is important, who can run for election, and when the elections are held. You’ll also hear more about Luuppi_Puolue.
The tasks of the Student Council are significant but not overly time-consuming. No prior experience is required to run for the council; you can easily stand as a candidate to help your group gain votes. The main thing is to have interest and enthusiasm! Join us to learn more and get inspired to run as a candidate! We will also provide general information about the Student Council if Luuppi_Puolue doesn’t interest you, but you want to run as a candidate for another group.
You can find more information about the Student Council elections here (https://trey.fi/en/student-union/council-elections).
After the info session, we will continue with a relaxed evening featuring board games and snacks. The traditional Tuesday board game night will also continue after the event.
The event will follow Luuppi's Equality and Safer Space principles, which can be found here in Finnish. In the event of harassment, contact the event's main organizer or Luuppi's equality representative.
If you cannot attend the event but would like to run as a candidate or have any other questions, please contact the event organizer.
