Kastajaiset

What is Kastajaiset? Well, we need to make the freshmen luuppians! During Kaste event, freshmen put on their overalls for the first time and complete tasks in groups, after which we move to Pii-Klubi for sauna.

Kastajaiset takes place in groups, which are drawn and announced on-site. The event is free and intended only for Luuppi's freshmen.

Please let us know during registration if you will be arriving late and whether it’s okay for you to be in an English-speaking team. We want to ensure a pleasant initiation for everyone :)

Here’s some information to help you prepare for Kastajaiset:

1. Overalls will be distributed at Pii-Klubi from 14:00 to 15:45, and the starting point is at the amphitheater in front of Pinni B.
2. Dress warmly and according to the weather, as you'll be enjoying the fresh January air. Note that jeans may not be the most comfortable choice under the overalls.
3. Pii Klubi opens at 20:00 and will be open until 2:00.
4. You can bring your own refreshments and snacks, but please note that you cannot consume your own drinks or food in licensed areas. We recommend bringing drinks you can close (for example not cans).
5. The most important thing is to arrive with an open and cheerful mindset! The initiation is one of the most memorable events of student life for many, and we hope it will be for you too!
6. If you arrive late or have any questions, please message the tutor representatives on Telegram @frejaadele @tommilamberg @osmolaukkanen tai @p1neappleunderthec for assistance!
7. If for any reason you cannot attend the Kaste event, you can collect your overalls later.
8. Despite the name of the event, you do not need to get wet (unless it rains).

The event is intended only for Luuppi's freshmen.
