Hey fellow mathemagicians,
The Mahti futsal league is gradually getting underway. In this league, teams formed by different subject associations will play a double round-robin series over the autumn and spring semesters, followed by playoffs at the end of the academic year. There will be approximately 15 games, all of which will be played at the Atalpa sports hall. The matches are played 5v5 with two 20-minute halves. More information on the rules and organization can be found in Mahti's news announcement.
Luuppi is aiming to secure a spot in the league. However, there will be a lot of games, so to avoid any embarrassing forfeits, we need a minimum team size of 15 motivated participants. It would also be great if there is enough enthusiasm for practice games, which will be organized every other week during our regular sports slot.
You can sign up for the team through this event. Please use the event's form to provide your Telegram username and a suggestion for the team name. For inspiration, here is a list of ideas:
