  Mensa is to identify and develop intelligence for the benefit of humanity
 \, support intelligence research\, and provide an intellectual and social 
 environment for its members. Anyone who achieves a better result on an int
 elligence test than 98% of the population can become a Mensa member. Finni
 sh Mensa has 15 local groups and events in all major cities. The local gro
 ups organize various meetings and visits for their members weekly or month
 ly. Mensa also has an active online forum for its members\, a member magaz
 ine\, and a variety of informal activities around the country. Most of the
  events are informal meetings\, gatherings for interesting discussions and
 \, for example\, board games or food and drinks. Activities also include v
 arious presentations and company visits. In addition\, members organize ma
 ny themed events\, such as theater and art exhibition visits\, trips to in
 teresting destinations in Finland\, or various functional weekend events. 
 The Finnish Mensa Association also has sports or hobby groups\, singles an
 d family activities\, and youth activities. Members can also participate i
 n Mensa's international events if they wish. What is the test about? The I
 Q test measures the level of the person being tested in relation to the re
 st of the population. Accurately measuring intelligence is more complex th
 an measuring many other skills or characteristics\, but the IQ test is the
  most widely accepted measure of intelligence in the scientific world. Int
 elligence is measured with several different tests. Most intelligence test
 s aim to measure the g-factor\, or general intelligence. The IQ test is de
 fined by comparing the score to a normal distribution\, the average of whi
 ch is 100. Preparing for the test You must arrive at the test location on 
 time\, as the test will start exactly at the stated time. You must bring a
  valid ID card with you - a driver's license will also work. The test take
 s about an hour in total. The test is a pattern-based reasoning test\, whi
 ch requires normal vision\, hearing and pen skills. It is recommended that
  you come to the test as refreshed and well-rested as possible. The specia
 l price for Luuppi members (25€) is available until 7.1.2026\, after whi
 ch pre-registration will close. However\, you can also arrive at the test 
 without registering\, in which case it is possible to participate in the t
 est with a valid student card for 30€. Without a student card\, the test
  is 40€. Registration is binding. If you are unable to attend\, you can 
 hand over the ticket to another person by notifying Pyry Yli-Sissala of th
